After 17 years, with fond memories, a couple lamps and two waffle irons tucked lovingly under our arm, we bid farewell to the jitterbug. On Friday, July 29th this little restaurant with big city flavor took on new ownership.



We offer our best wishes for success to jitterbug’s new owner, David Harris. This was a difficult decision for us as our roots have been planted here for so long. But after years of reflection we felt that this restaurant and the community of Wallingford would be better served with an on premise owner & operator. We hope those of you who have enjoyed dining with us over the years will continue to patronize jitterbug under its new ownership and embrace it as a ‘jewel’ in the crown that is the Wallingford Community.



For those of you who are wondering how you’ll ever live without the Charmoula Chicken Sandwich or those heavenly Gingerbread Waffles! Not to worry, they haven’t gone too far from the nest. The Charmoula Chicken Sandwich can be found at Endolyne Joe’s in Fauntleroy and the Gingerbread Waffles will be available at Coastal Kitchen on Capitol Hill.
